Ok First off, Empty maps, Second, It wasn't on ultra, It was a custom graphics setting. Perhaps you should read legitimate review sites before someone post some video on youtube on empty maps.
I don't understand why you would watch a youtube video of some random person who literally cherry picks his settings and his environment to get a point across.
Yes, BF3 will run on that card on Ultra, Right up until stuff starts happening. Then you can expect massive FPS drops, and frame rate studdering as that card struggles to keep up.
Here are the actual realistic expectations of BF3 on a 7670M
Notebookcheck, actually benchmarks the game like you would actually playing it. Not on an empty maps with absolutely *nothing* going on. What I posted there are realastic expectations of what you will get.
Not some "horrid" youtube video with cherry picked maps, and settings. With absolutely nothing going on.
Now with that being said, the 8670M scores a few FPS higher in BF3. Since its basically the same card with high clock speeds.
My Nvidia 460M Is alot more powerful then your 8670M, and it struggles with Ultra settings on BF3.
But I mean if you really think that card should be able to run BF3 on ultra, and you want to believe some random cherry picked youtube video. Then by all means, continue to do so.
O and 1 other thing, Just because you have a haswell CPU, that means absolutely nothing. BF3 is a GPU bound game meaning that even sandybridge and ivybridge CPUs do not place any sort of bottleneck on the GPUs they are bundled with. Its why my sandybridge laptop easily outpaces a 8670M in BF3. My videocard is simply alot more powerful.
