I have an HP G42 Laptop, with windows 7 home prem OS
AMD Athlon II P340 Dual - Core Processor 2.20 GHz
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200 Series Graphics Card
My question is My specs say they are great for gaming especially for current and new pc games Like Assassin's Creed 4 Black Flag. But when I run these games I have choppy graphics and low FPS major lag in game. I have tried many different settings in the ingame options and in the options menus for my onboard graphics card nothing seems to work. Is there something I am doing wrong or am I getting false information on what games my system can run?

Are you completely mental? The HD 4200 series is as basic as you can get. It's good for watching movies, not playing games.

If you bought this at Best Buy, you should take it back even if it is past the 30 day return period. Speak to the store manager..tell him you were misled by the salesperson and you want to exchange for a better laptop. The AMD 4200 is not only too weak to be able to play any of the modern games you mentioned, but it is a card that is no longer supported by AMD. The processor for the laptop is another issue all together...get a better one. Look for a Intel I5 if you want to play.
