Im trying to use my gaming Clevo laptop plus a TFT as a secondary display (set as primary) but for some reason it destroys my fps in BF4 ( and all games). Im using a 7970M with 16gb of ram, ssd and i7 quad cpu.

Laptop is secondary display
TFT is primary display (but set as display 2)
Running as an extended display within windows 8
Power source is high priority

Now whenever i put certain things on the secondary display it kills the performance on the main TFT display. Its like as soon as something goes on the extended display it drains my resources, i lose like 50% of fps on games. Im only using a browser so it shouldnt take up resources to take half my system.

So for example.. im playing Battlefield 4 and it runs fine (100 fps) in extended display with chrome or IE opened on the laptop display. When i try to run the battlescreen which is also web based it kills the full screen game on tft display. Same thing goes for Sky Go.

Do i need to find the backgrouind programme running these and set to high perfomance in switchable ? So I think battlescreen is an app within Chrome and Sky uses silverlight?

They are small resource hog programmes, I can run BF4 in one screen and Football manager 14 on the other and both run max perfomance.

Any guru who can offer advice? Cheers

Turn off hardware acceleration in browser settings (google for the solution) as it usually sets the gpu to 2D clocks at roughly half the frequencies that 3D clocks have.
