The 5xxx series... .do you guys not care about it anymore? I tried contacting support and when it told me to select my graphics card, the 5870 wasn't even listed....

 

Its sad since the 5870m was one of the best graphics card when I purchased it in 2010. Sure its mid end now, but I can still play on high graphics and get over 50fps in a lot of games.

What in the world are you talking about? Follow steps 1-5...you have a 5xxx series card.

I said nothing about drivers. Of course the 5xxx is listed in the driver download page.

 

I'm talking about the contact form. The 5xxx isn't listed in the contact form.

product model is the issue - HD 5xxx is not listed.

5xxx missing from first link u posted, bug reporting only for desktop, and yet asus recommended following amd drivers after Vbios update for my specific laptop on notebook review forums. This post is useful though, thanks for putting everything here.
