Hi

So today I've updated my graphics driver and when I restarted my laptop I noticed that my FN-Brightness keys weren't working anymore. All the others are still functional.

Did something go wrong with the update or do I need to change something in the settings?

Specs (Acer Aspire 7745G):

Intel Core i5

AMD ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650

4GB Ram

If you guys need anything else just let me know.

Thanks.

Roll back the drivers to the previous version that worked for you.

only your brightness key stopped working yet the others work... Do you have drivers that control the fn functions? I know my laptop has atk drivers and without it, can't use fn shortcuts at all or turn on my keyboard lights, etc.

If you do, see if there is an update for it.

Make sure the button to increase brightness works

Does the brightness icon show up but brightness doesn't change? I saw a solution for that on google.

Check your power options.

I don't think that is possible. I watch a lot of football streams online and without this driver update I have constant screen flickering when I go fullscreen. That's the only reason I have installed this update.

I don't think I have any extra drivers for my brightness. And by the way my brightness options from the power options have dissapeared. Could this all be the reason because of the driver that is still in beta? (it's in beta since 12/3/2013)

The previous drivers you had, is it the one before the latest or were they the stock drivers?

If stock, maybe try the one not in beta.

You can also check if there is a Video card bios (Vbios) update for your laptop.
