Hi.

After last patch for World of Worcraft, WOW wants me to update video card driver before I can play WOW again. Problem is that ASUS doe not provide newer drivers for this laptop (ASUS K52J). Additionally your video card discovery tool does not discover this card. What shall I do now ?

Thia is a common problem. You provide drivers but manufacturers does not include them in theis software.

Regards

PIotr

Using the 'auto=detect and install' is for people who have no clue what they are doing. Don't use it. Download the driver package and install it yourself. AMD wants you to use the Mobility "driver verification tool" which is unnecessary unless you have a Toshiba, Sony, or Panasonic laptop...or have switchable graphics (or Enduro). Download the drivers you need here.

Thanks for a tip.

Tried several drivers from this page. Some could not download (server did not respond) some downloaded. Installation brought the same result all the time:

- error during video driver installation, blank screen, recovery mode and installing prev driver.

Latest version was a bit different. Installed quickly. Vide driver not changed at all.

What went wrong ?

Regards

Piotr

I have no idea. As you can see, I have a ASUS notebook. I never have problems installing drivers. Do you have a Intel processor or a AMD processor?

a list of supported cards and drivers

edit - about the quick instillation, I can't remember if it was amd drivers or a different one but if it was amd drivers, don't press the "finish" button even if the bar indicator is all the way at the end. I believe another pop up comes up that says "download finish"

Like I said, can't remember if it was amd or different drivers but I think it was amd that tricked me up on this.
