I'm new here. Pardon my errors and i really don't understand forums.

Whenever i install my Radeon HD 7400m series driver, it says the devices is working properly. But CCC never shows any settings for the device. my laptop came with windows 7, but after a horrible outburst of anger, the hard drive crashed, it got replaced, figured i'd try windows 8. I had the error code 43 problem at the time, but i had no idea what was wrong and how to fix it and i wasn't big on mods at the time. i waited for the 13.11 release, which was a mind buster to install: my laptop would freeze up as it would with a BSOD, but the screen would be black. It happens often when i try to install amd drivers from the setup.exe, at the point where it gets to Installing display driver. I would then have to hold the power button to turn it off. to install the drivers, i'd open DEVMGMT and update by searching a location on my computer (C:\Amd\"Driver Version").

Anyway between yesterday night and now, i've attempted to install lecshat and "SG Fix" or something like that. I Clean Uninstalled both my my Intel HD and Radeon HD drivers in all attempts. I also tried the microsoft wddm 1.3, that didn't install at all.

Sorry i suck at these terminologies.

My CCC is still the same way, and most games and my design software recognise only the Intel HD 3000

I would be grateful if it could be resolved, i've been without switchable graphics for a year now and my Intel doesn't just deliver as much punch.

this is how CCC looks

*Leshcat is currently installed.

Simple answer? You can't use 'generic' drivers for your laptop...and generic is all AMD supplies. Read this.

Leshcat offers great modded drivers for laptops with switchable graphics...however, in big letters he explains...you MUST HAVE A WORKING SET OF DRIVERS INSTALLED BEFORE INSTALLING THE MODDED DRIVERS. That means you need to go to your laptop manufacturer and download the correct drivers for your model laptop before you can use Leshcat. It doesn't matter how old the drivers are...as long as they are working.

i tried the drivers they provide at the hp website. The amd does the same thing (freezes during install) and the intel never installs, it givesme an error (Your system does not meet the minimum requirements). And i doubt hp has a zip file for the drivers.

Then there are more problems that you aren't (hopefully) aware of...some past mistake maybe? Reformat your computer and don't try to install anything untill you have run Windows Update (several times) and install the 'optional' and 'suggested' updates.
