		<description><![CDATA[ <p>Hello All,</p>
<p>I would greatly appreciate any guidance on where to go with this. I purchased a HD6670, and, while I can get the drivers to install, I cannot get the CC to install, it hangs no matter what I try. I am running Win 7 X32, the card manufacturer is Sapphire. Here is what I have tried so far: Uninstalled drivers, restarted, used driver sweeper in safe mode, tried to install drivers in safe mode, gone into the registry and removed all keys related to ATI, removed via device manager, disabled all security software, turned off UAC, ensured their were no conflicting drivers, verrified running .net 3.1, verified that the driver was the correct version (12.6). The end result is the same, when installing, the install hangs at the half way point. Their were no hardware or software changes prior to this other then upgrading my PSU. Please help!</p>]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[ <p><span style="font-size: x-small;">Hi,</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: x-small;">So I just upgraded my video card to a Firepro v7800 (previously had Nvidia) and now I cannot play Rogue Spear in Windows 7. After many google forum searches I found that everyone with an ATI and Win7 is having this problem. Basically I double click on the game to launch, and it immediately crashes and says "RogueSpear.exe has stopped working" What gives? I've tried all the compatibility modes.</span></p>
<p>I've also tried the game on my old computer with WinXP and am ATI Radeon x1650. The game does not work either. I launch it and it crashes immediately saying something about the GPU. So I changed video cards to my older Geforce 5200 FX and it worked. So this confirms there is something wrong on ATI's side.</p>
<p><span style="font-size: x-small;">So how do I get this to work with my Firepro in Win7?</span></p>
<p>Does anyone know how to fix this? Some Rogue Spear forum people suspect it has something to do with DirectX support with ATI but this is unconfirmed.</p>
<p>Please help!</p>
<p>Thanks</p>]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[ <p>Hi All. New to these forums and new to Crossfire. Built new machine last Christmas, ran with one card for several months recently added second card, followed all directions I think. Second card is recognized and shows up in hardware manager and all card monitors - AMD Catalys and MSI Afterburner. As I searched these forums I ran across info related to FPS during BF3 reaching well over 100 on ultra settings. I routinely only get FPS at 50-60 on mostly high but not ultra settings so this got me looking at my cards. I have them core clocked at 900MHz and memory clocked at 1300MHz through Afterburner. When I ran the test through MSI Kombustor it shows full load 100% on my primary card but only baseline on the second card and stays that way throughout the test. Any help would be appreciated. Some of my stats are below, not sure if I've included all necessary. Thank you in advance.</p>

		<description><![CDATA[ <p>on my system i have 2x 6950's in crossfire and with both 12.6 and 12.7 my second card ( bottom one card 2) is clocked at max setting for memory clock speed 1250 and at 450 for core clock speed while the computer is idle.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>I had to revert back to 12.4 which the clock speeds were fixed.&nbsp; This problem also happened with 12.3 drivers.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Is this a serious problem? Does having those idle speeds harm the video cards in the long run? Im sorta a newbie with video cards.&nbsp; Thx.</p>]]></description>

<p>I am not sure if this issue is only occuring to me or to everyone else, but ever since i got this card and everytime i try to update my drivers, it would either go into black screen during the drivers install, or it would finish the install normaly but with some errors.</p>
<p>So last night when i tried to update to 12.6, i've got black screen during my install and i had to force reboot, and then tried to install the same driver again to make sure everything is fine. but it messed up few things so i rolled back to 12.4, but on 12.4 everything went fine during install, my screen didnt even flicker but ive got an error on HDMI Audio installation.</p>
<p>so are these issues caused by something from my side or is it amd drivers that has something wrong with it ?</p>]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[ <p>Hi all.</p>
<p>When playing with <a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://www.outerra.com">Outerra</a> sometimes it happens that the driver crashes, and a Windows popup comes out saying that the AMD driver stopped responding and has restored.</p>
<p>Outerra uses OpenGL, and I know older catalyst versions had severe problems with it, so I guess it must be related to that. I don't really think it could be due to overheating or power failure, since it doesn't happen with other games.</p>
<p>I have an HD4850, and i run Windows7 32bit. I tried both catalyst 14.4 and14.6 beta, and it happens with both.</p>

		<description><![CDATA[ Just curious to see what everyone thinks the easiest and hardest video games they've ever played were. Now, there are a few rules:
<br />
<br />1) Text based games are not allowed. Ever see the movie Big? Remember the game he plays? That's a text based game. Another example would be the Hugo series of games where you moved the character with the arrow keys but told him what to do by typing instructions such as "open safe".
<br />
<br />2) Only consider games with a clear ending, no games which just get progressively harder until you lose, such as Tetris.
<br />
<br />3) When considering difficulty, only consider the main quest line or main objective, not side quests (as in the TES series) or "optional 100% complete" objectives (such as completing the Pok&#233;dex in a Pok&#233;mon game).
<br />
<br />4) When considering difficulty, only consider the first time you played through the game, which hopefully you didn't have to cheat (using cheats or a walkthrough) to get through. Or if you've never beaten it, well, then I'm sure that's going to be the one you pick as the hardest.
<br />
<br />5) The games you choose can be any game from early PC DOS games through modern PC games as well as early console games to modern console games.
<br />
<br />6) Do explain your choices.
<br />
<br />
<br />Now, I'll start off.
<br />
<br />Easiest -- This was a very easy choice for me, it is "Guerrilla Wars" on the NES. It's not very long, easily completable within an hour, unlimited ammunition for all weapons and grenades, predictable enemies, no time limits, and, the thing which clenches it as the easiest game for me, unlimited continues after you lose every life, so there's no incentive to stay alive. It's like they took an arcade game, removed the necessity of paying, and sold it.
<br />
<br />Hardest -- This was also a very easy choice for me, it's "Gauntlet" on the NES. Why? Because I've never been able to beat the thing! Even using the game genie and turning on unlimited health and unlimited keys, even after two decades of trying to beat the thing, I haven't been able to do it. If you've never played it, pick up an emulator and ROM and try it, it'll drive you up the wall and across the ceiling. Sure it's your typical tough game of the 8 bit era until you get to stage 50 or so when, well, I won't tell you any spoilers..]]></description>

<p><em>CL137813.inf, Line 341</em>: "%AMD9804.1%" = ati2mtag_Wrestler, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_9804</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>But the latest Catalyst (At the moment - 12.6) doesn't have any DEV ID. for my Video Card.</p>
<p>I've downloaded the Catalyst 12.6 twice; from http://sites.amd.com/us/game/downloads/Pages/radeon_win7-32.aspx, and using the Web Form from http://support.amd.com/us/Pages/AMDSupportHub.aspx.</p>
<p>Both methods led me to the same Catalyst 12.6 Installer (12-6_vista_win7_32_dd_ccc.exe).</p>
<p>I know that I can tweak the .inf driver file installation to make something like a overclocking; in that way windows will install the driver thinking that my GPU it's another GPU:</p>
<p>Catalyst <strong>12.6</strong> -</p>
<p><em>CL141402.inf, Line 163</em>: "%AMD68F9.32%" = ati2mtag_EvergreenC, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_68F9&SUBSYS_174B6250</p>
<p><em>CL141402.inf, Line 3172</em>: AMD68F9.32 = "<strong>ATI Radeon HD 6250"</strong></p>
<p>(The name seems to "<strong><em>AMD RADEON HD 6250</em></strong>" or "<strong><em>AMD RADEON HD 6200</em></strong>", but I don't know if it is more or less powerfull that mine)</p>
<p>And ADD the following line to make that windows detect my GPU like a ATI RADEON HD 6250:</p>
<p>"%AMD68F9.32%" = ati2mtag_EvergreenC, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_9804</p>
<p>I'm not sure if this could break my Video Card... but I want have the latest driver release - and I can't find any document where AMD/ATI say that Leave the Support for Any / Specific Card!</p>]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[ <p>HI.</p>
<p>I have a NEW AMD HD6450 Graphics Card that has DVI-D, VGA and HDMI outputs.&nbsp; Can I use all three at once to support a 3 monitor playing field for games?</p>
<p>I have been told that HDMI can disable on board sound, is this correct, or will it also disable PCI sound cards I have?</p>
<p>It is one that is apparantly Eyefinity compatible, but I have no idea what that means?&nbsp;</p>]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[ <p>Hi,</p>
<p>I have a HD5770 with 2 DVI, 1 HDMI and 1 DP port. My 2 TFT screens are connected to the 2 DVI ports. Now I have connected my TV to the HDMI port and I want that to be the primary monitor surrounded by my 2 TFT screens.</p>
<p>The problem is when I try to connect the third monitor the AMD tool tells me it's not possible and I have to remove a screen to add a new one.</p>
<p>I searched the web and found some guys who told me I have to connect the third monitor via DP. So I bought a DP to HDMI adapter and connected the TV with the adapter to the DP port.</p>
<p>This doesn't work. The AMD tool still tells me that I can't connect the third screen.</p>
<p>So now a friend told me I have to buy a secondary grafics card and connect them over crossfire. Is this correct? Will my HD5770 work with a HD5450 in Crossfire mode and will I be able to connect the third monitor with the secondary card? I have no idea how to archive this.</p>
<p>Last time I connected more than 2 monitors to a PC was with an AGP and a PCI card. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif" border="0"></p>]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[ <p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Alright i got some issues with AMD drivers, as usual, in the meanwhile i'm trying to uphold my patience before ramming a gun into my video cards, cause God knows its my first and last time buying Amd/Ati cards, for there has yet a time to come where i install the latest drivers without problems.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Anyhow, enough of my QQ, so after the usual problems i finally managed to install 12.6, and it said that it successfully installed it afterwards, but 2 things.</p>
<p>1, my catalyst center still shows that i have 12.1 (yes i don't install latest drivers unless i absolutely have to even tho id love to, but knowing that every time there are so many problems id rather not to, once again unless i have to). So why does it not say 12.6?</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Second problem, each time i restart my pc since of today i get the following error message, screenshot below:</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><img src="http://devgurus.amd.com/servlet/JiveServlet/downloadImage/2-1282573-1121/450-108/Untitled-1.png" alt="" width="447" height="108" /></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>
<p>Any help with these problems is appreciated<img src="http://devgurus.amd.com/5.0.1/images/emoticons/happy.gif" alt="" width="16px" height="16px" /></p>
<p>PS: Sorry the msg is in Dutch, if you are familiar with it tho you shouldn't have a problem recognizing it.</p>
<p>PSS: Im running duel 6990's if that is of any valued information.</p>
