First, I'm already frustrated at this point, so if the moderators decide to do what moderators do and delete this thread instead of trying to get someone's attention and address this problem, it's no skin off my back, just future money taken off their bottom line. For a company that used to make THE premier consumer video card in the All-in-Wonder, the fact that you guys don't sell a single TV tuner product that is Windows 8 compatible is absurd. I mean, it's not like you haven't had 9 months to grab a single software developer and sit him down for a couple of weeks to get a set of compatible 8 reference drivers released. You're apparently too busy asking your engineers to make slow, hot, inefficient processors.

Please pull your heads out of your ***** and get with the program. It's been long enough. Support your hardware.

Everybody has been around this forum long enough now to recognize what the majority of posts are concerned with....driver information/installation and :

1. Crossfire

2. Eyefinity/display issues

The problem, as I see it, is that these posts are scattered all over the forum. A person with issues related to the above have no dedicated forum to look for help/answers/solutions. So they post the same old questions time and time again..and in various sub-forums. AMD spends a lot of money advertising Eyefinity and Crossfire...and when problems arise a owner should be able to come here and find a forum that deals only with those issues. These were two seperate forums before AMD decided to combine and streamline the catagories...and IMO a big mistake to eliminate. How hard can it be to re-implement? It certainly would make the forums more user friendly and helpful. I realize that there are other catagories that should be addressed, such as APU, etc., but the two crossfire and eyefinity forums should be at the top of the 'to do' list.

I don't usually write these, but a thanks is very much in order. I just had my CPU replaced by you guys via warranty, and I know it was just business as usual for you, but I had just gotten done having a nightmare of a time with Newegg.

I'll keep it short; but they refused to replace a CPU they sent me with bent pins and some overheating issues. After having to twist their arm three or four times they finally decided they'd take a look (didn't promise to replace it). They said they recieved it with bent pins (I had bent them back and installed the CPU before sending it), and denied my RMA and told me to talk to AMD. I was more surpised to find out when they sent the CPU back to me it actually did have bent pins. Bent flat. No way I could use it anymore.

Needless to say, they didn't take the blame for it (whether or not it was their falut or UPS, I don't know), so this lead me to AMD. I called the Tech Support phoneline, who were fantastic, and helped me out to a fantastic degree. I was pointed in the right direction to fill out my warranty. It was the most painless warranty process I've ever had. I didn't have to twist any arms like before and my CPU was replaced before I knew it.

So this post is a thanks AMD. I had dealt with Newegg for a month just to have them tell me no and send me back a CPU in worse shape (hell I could install it before I sent it to them). Send this message along to whoever, and make sure the Tech Support guys know how good of a job they're doing. This is damn good business and I'll always be buying AMD products just for the fantastic service.

Thanks again,

Hello!

I have ordered a Sapphire Radeon 7850 on 28th june 2012 at Slovenian computer company called AGT. I have waited months to finally receive it somewhere between 21th and 26th september which is a really long time. Too long.

I kept calling and checking on my order and they kept saying its coming in next week but weeks turned into months obviously. Once I finally got it it seemed to be DOA since it was showing artifacts and such. So I sent it back to AGT on 27th september and they sent it to Germany for closer inspection. Today it is a 18th October and I still have no answer from Germany according to AGT.

So I ordered a graphic card in 26th june and today it is the 18th of october and I still dont have it. This can't just be unlucky, I think everyone involved in this from shipping out of Germany and Everyone are just very unprofessional in my view and my experience.

This throws a really bad light on AMD in my opinion and I am not at all happy.

Thank you!

Reporting a post can result in an automatic reply, like "I'm out of the office and can't read your email, blablabla...". I can see how it's a good thing within the company, but as a simple forum user, I don't really care who work and who don't at any given time. There are other moderators who get the message anyway.

Also I wonder why reports are delivered to moderators as emails. Is that a fusetalk related thing? Aren't they supposed to get them through the forum interface?

Since the forums are going through a change, I would like to make a suggestion/observation. AMD has information scattered all over the place. None but the most diligent will ever find half of it. Here is one example:

When a person is looking for a support forum, here is what he gets:

AMD FORUMS

AMD Processors

AMD Developer Forums

AMD Developer Blogs

AMD Game Forum

Well, what about these forums?

http://forums.amd.com/forum/categories.cfm?catid=33&zb=3478506

http://forums.amd.com/forum/categories.cfm?catid=310&zb=2556093

or blogs: http://blogs.amd.com/play/tag/ati-catalyst/

How easy is it to find the Customer Care E-mail Submission form ? http://emailcustomercare.amd.com/

The AMD Support Articles RSS are hidden in plain sight: http://feeds.amd.com/amdkbarticles

This is but a few examples. There is some good information out there for the few who have the time and patience to find it...but why make it so hard? Most links to AMD company supplied information is found through other sites (Tom's Hardware, Guru 3D, Overclockers, etc)....no mention or links through AMD's main site? There really should be some organization of the available resources.

Stepping down from soapbox now.

I am not a mathematician, but the percentage of posts on this forum within the last 30 days dealing with laptop issues is considerable. Besides the 'normal' everyday laptop "I can't update" stuff, now we are getting the switchable graphics crowd. Responses to these questions are all the same for the most part. It is/has been clear that posters will not use the 'search' function to read the answers to their questions themselves...it must be read to them (in a manner). There is a section for all the crossfire problems. There is a section for all the eyefinity problems. We used to have a laptop section for all the laptop problems. Now we don't. We have a "memory" section. We have to have a laptop forum with 'several' stickys. At least a poster "might" look at some of the other posts and get some help/answers instead of posting the same thing over and over and over again. There....I will get off my soapbox now.
